The Edit Asset Settings dialog box lets you update the functional settings of assets that is configured in the FASTER Web database while installing FASTER Web.
Tip
To view the Edit Asset Settings dialog box, click the Edit Asset Settings link.
In the Application Setup section, do one of the following:
o Click next to the Assets option, and then click Settings.
o In the Assets section of Application Setup, click the Settings link.
The Asset Settings page opens.
Click the Edit Asset Settings link.
The Edit Asset Settings dialog box opens.
Make changes in the fields, as required.
o In the Use Auto Acquisition Number list, select Yes or No.
§ Yes, for FASTER Web to automatically generate an asset acquisition number.
§ No, to manually enter the asset acquisition number.
o In the Depreciation Method list, select Straight line or Remaining balance.
§ Straight line, to calculate a fixed percentage of depreciation every year on the purchase value of an asset.
§ Remaining balance, to calculate a fixed percentage of depreciation every year on the previous year's depreciated amount.
o In the PM Is Hierarchical list, select Yes or No.
§ Yes, to follow hierarchy in preventative maintenance.
§ No, to disregard hierarchy in preventative maintenance.
Note: The Preventative Maintenance (PM) is a routine service that is performed on an asset to maintain the working condition of the asset. |
o In the PM Hierarchy Highest Type box, type a letter in the alphabet that should be considered as a code for the highest level in the hierarchy.
Note: When you set the highest hierarchy of Preventative Maintenance (PM) to a particular letter, then giving a higher letter in the line is considered as following non-hierarchy method of PM. For example, if you set the highest hierarchy of PM to D, the system considers any other letter higher than D (from E to Z) as following the non-hierarchy method of PM. |
o In the PM Use Current list, select Yes or No.
§ Yes, to use the current scheduling cycle or meter reading for scheduling the next PM.
§ No, to create a new schedule for the next PM.
o In the PM Update Early Late list, select one of the following:
§ None, does not consider any PM types for early or late calculations.
§ Early, considers PM services that is performed prior to the next due calculation.
§ Late, considers PM Services that is performed after the next due calculation.
§ Both, considers PM Services that is performed prior to or after the next due calculation.
§ None, does not consider any of the PM cycle types for early or late calculations.
§ Date, considers only date PM cycle types.
§ Non-Date, considers only non-date PM cycle types for early or late calculations.
§ All, considers all PM cycle types for early or late calculations.
When finished, click one of the following:
o Save to save the information and close the dialog box.
o Cancel to disregard any changes and close the dialog box.
