This topic describes the following:
Current and Past Contacts
Add Contact

Current and Past Contacts
By default, only current contacts are listed. When the end date is less than the current date on a contact record, it will not show up as a current vendor.
If you want to see past contacts, click the drop-down under the Standard Specification title bar and select Past Contacts or All Contacts from the list.
An end date is not required, but it helps to separate past from current contacts.
If there is a contact that you do not want display on the default data grid but on whom you wish to keep historical data, add an End Date. This will keep a record of the former contact for the Vendor, but they will no longer appear in the Current Contacts.
Steps to add an End Date
- In the Actions menu of the Vendors tab, search for and view the appropriate vendor.
- In the Standard Specifications panel of the Master tab, click the Edit link next to the contact record.
- Use the calendar to select an End Date.
- When finished, click one of the following:
- Save to save the information and close the window.
- Cancel to disregard any changes and close the window.
Add Contact
- In the Actions menu of the Vendors tab, search for and view the appropriate vendor.
- In the Standard Specifications panel of the Master tab, click the Add New Contact link on.
- Enter the relevant information in the Add New Contact dialog box.
Required fields are marked with a red *.
- When finished, click one of the following.
- Save to save the information and close the window.
- Save & New to save the information and add additional information.
- Cancel to disregard any changes and close the window.
Note: You cannot have more than one vendor contact with the same First and Last name.
Edit Contact
Steps to edit a vendor contact
- In the Actions menu of the Vendors tab, search for and view the appropriate vendor.
- In the Standard Specifications panel of the Master tab, click the Edit link next to the appropriate contact record.
- Make the appropriate changes in the Edit Contact dialog box.
- When finished, click one of the following:
- Save to save the information and close the window.
- Cancel to disregard any changes and close the window.
Delete Contact
Steps to delete a vendor contact
- In the Actions menu of the Vendors tab, search for and view the appropriate vendor.
- In the Standard Specifications panel of the Master tab, click the Edit link next to the appropriate contact record.
- In the Edit Contact dialog box, click the Delete link.
- In the next dialog box, click one of the following:
- Click Yes, Delete Contact from Vendor to delete the contact.
- Click Add End Date to provide an end date for the contact, which will retain all historical data but make the contact inactive after the end date provided.
- Cancel to disregard any changes and close the window.
