Notes - Quick Tips
Notes functionality is available on multiple tabs within FASTER Web and allows the user to add one or more notes, each with its own subject and details.
- User permissions are needed to create and manage notes. For each tab in the FASTER Web system with notes, the permissions available include:
- View Notes
- Add/Edit Notes
- Delete Notes
- Edit Other Users' Notes (i.e., notes not owned by the user changing them)
- Delete Other Users' Notes (i.e., notes note owned by the user deleting them)
- A tool bar is available when creating or editing notes which allows the user to:
- Format Text Appearance (Font, Font Size, Font Color, Bold, Italic, Underline)
- Format Text as Bullets or Numbered List
- Enter a Date or Time Stamp
- Perform Basic Functions (Spell Check, Print, Find, Undo, Redo, Copy, Paste)
- Notes are shown in a grid which provides the following note details:
- Subject
- Modified Date and Time
- Modified By
- Created Date and Time
- Created By
- Only the subject is provided in the Notes screen grid. To view full note details:
- Click the Show link for an individual note.
- Use the Show All Notes link to expand all notes to show their full text in the grid view. You can use the Hide All Notes to return to viewing notes by subject only.
